Your Questions Answered: Flourish Specialist Dietitian Insights
FAQs
Do I need to pay everything upfront?
No — all packages begin with a one-time £125 Initial Consultation. The remaining balance can be split into manageable instalments.
What’s included in “Ongoing Support”?
Ongoing support may include online check-ins, personalised resources, and priority access between sessions. It’s designed to keep you supported and accountable throughout your journey.
Can I customise a package?
Absolutely. You can add optional services like a personalised meal plan or dietary analysis to any package. We’ll discuss what suits you best during your consultation.
What if I need to reschedule a session?
Life happens — just give at least 24 hours’ notice and we’ll find a new time. Sessions can be rescheduled within your package timeframe.
Do you offer payment plans without interest?
Yes — all instalments are interest-free. No hidden fees, just flexible support.
Can I book a single session instead of a package?
Yes. You’re welcome to book an Initial Consultation (£125) and follow-up sessions (£75) individually. Packages offer better value and continuity, but there’s no pressure.
What’s the difference between a Registered Dietitian and a Nutritionist?
A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a legally protected title in the UK. Dietitians are qualified health professionals who assess, diagnose, and treat dietary and nutritional issues — including complex medical conditions. Nutritionists, on the other hand, are not regulated by law, and their qualifications can vary widely.
Are all nutritionists qualified?
Not necessarily. Some nutritionists hold degrees and are registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN), but others may have little or no formal training. Unlike dietitians, they are not legally permitted to provide medical nutrition therapy.
Is a dietitian right for me?
Dietitians are trained to work with medical conditions like cancer, diabetes, IBS, and heart disease. They’re regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and must follow strict standards of ethics and evidence-based practice. You can trust that their advice is safe, current, and tailored to your health needs.
